day 08 - a song that you know all the words to

Ok, I know all of the words to an obscene amount of songs so I am going to put my itunes on shuffle and the first song that plays that I can sing along to knowing all of the words will be the one I post.

LET THE FUN ENSUE!

EFF YES! One of my favorite Madonna songs from one of her best dance albums...enjoy!

day 07 - a song that reminds you of a certain event

First heavily intoxicated evening...singing this song in my head as the room spun, good times!

day 06 - a song that reminds you of somewhere

This song reminds me of crusin' down River Road in a Chevy Malibu, windows down, eating Tropical Sno, carrying my Fendi Spy Bag with my Cruse while hearing AP English vocab words within this song.

The End of Old Hollywood: RIP Elizabeth Taylor

I am more devastated than I thought I would be regarding the death of Elizabeth Taylor. Not only was she an extraordinary actress, beauty, and philanthropist; she was one of the last great living Hollywood legends. They don't make a breed of actor like Elizabeth Taylor anymore and I cannot really think of anyone today that even compares to the likes of Elizabeth, Grace Kelly, Katherine Hepburn, Audrey Hepburn, Bette Davis, Joan Crawford, and one of the few left, Lauren Bacall. I think this rings true for the male actors of today; there are no Cary Grants', Jimmy Stewarts', and Paul Newmans': this coming from a hardcore lover of leading men like George Clooney, Daniel Day-Lewis, and man of my dreams Leonardo DiCaprio.

The death of Elizabeth Taylor at least helped me see that not all of old hollywood is lost on my generation, I was pleasantly surprised at the outpouring of grief and remembrance of her great films like Giant, A Place in the Sun, Butterfield8, Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, and one of my all-time favorite films, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof; on ONTD. Her death makes me thankful that I have parents who fostered my love of film by watching the great films of the 40s, 50s, and 60s; I'm afraid of the day when people forget about these films or begin to, and I've heard some already do, trash these films as the past and their prestige, acclaim, and lore only stems from their age and not their content.

Enough of my rant and ramble, here are some images of one of the most beautiful women to ever have graced this earth, the late, great Elizabeth Taylor.

Day 05 - a song that reminds you of someone

This would play on the oldies station and my dad would sing along to it in a super creepy and hilarious way and I would yell at him to cease this behavior...cease he did not. So now whenever I hear it, I begin to lol and think of my favorite person ever, Doug "My Daddio" Johnson.

Day 4: A Song that Makes You Sad

When I saw the objective for Day 4, I instantly knew the song I would pick. I tend to listen to very sad and depressing songs, lol I have no reason why, just do. This is a song I downloaded because it was featured so heavily in one of my favorite books The Perks of Being a Wallflower aka a very depressing kind of book. This song is just eerie, beautiful, and wrenching.

Day 3: A Song That Makes You Happy

Okay, so there are a lot of songs that make me happy...that is one of the side-effects of music. In an effort to pick just one song, I managed to make a playlist entitled: Songs That Make Me Happy; oy to the vey. While they all made me smile and bop my head like a fool when this bad boy came on, I was taken back to 2008 when I saw him in concert for the 2nd time with my mama LJ...duh it's THE BOSS!

If you EVER and i mean EVER have a chance to see him live, DO IT! He is fricken' amazing and there is a reason he and the E Street Band were voted the #1 live act of all time.

Day 2: My Least Favorite Song

There are a lot of songs that I do not like but it is hard to remember them because, well, why remember the songs you don't like?
I tore through my mind and remembered there was one song I kept hearing at work over the summer, a country song, that I just could not. I can't.

Day 1: My Favorite Song

This may come as a surprise to anyone that knows me because it is not Radiohead, Avett Brothers, Madonna, Girls Aloud, or Bruce Springsteen. While I love songs by all of those people and by hoards more, especially Fake Plastic Trees by Radiohead which is probably my 2nd favorite song; they cannot top this one, which ironically I have a Radiohead cover of.

New Order's Ceremony:

I fell in love with this song when I heard it in Marie Antoinette, one of my favorite movies and it has quickly become my favorite song.

GODNEY HAS GIVEN US A GIFT

Currently blogging from the grave b/c Femme Fatale leaked and I have died and gone to heaven where the Holy Spearit is watching over me.

Pushing Play...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Till The World Ends: 10 I fricken' love this song even though Ke$ha co-wrote it, makes me want to dance epically on a cloud.

  • Hold It Against Me: 10 I find myself in an ONTD minority but I really love HIAM and the video was pure fun.

  • Inside Out: 10 OMFG dying

  • I Wanna Go: 10 this needs to be a single. Remixes of this will be amazing and this is such a club song.

  • How I Roll: 9 This is a fun track but nothing insane, this album so far is fricken' amazing and dare I say, better than Blackout???

  • (Drop Dead) Beautiful feat. Sabi: 9 This song leaked last night and I dig it, a good fun track but not as amazing as the first 4 tracks and still not sure how I feel about the rap.

  • Seal it with a Kiss: 9.5 This album is slaying me rn, this song reminds me of In the Zone...actually it is like Blackout and In the Zone had a baby and they named it Femme Fatale.

  • Big Fat Bass feat. will.i.am: 8 As a lover of Cheryl Cole, I cannot hate will.i.am like the rest of ONTD b/c I loved 3 Words. So far, this is my least favorite track on the album, it is just meh to me.

  • Trouble for Me: 9 This is a fun song with a nice beat, very Jersey Shore-esque I would say.

  • Trip to Your Heart: 9 I like it, don't love it.

  • Gasoline: 10 I loved this song from the snippet and it is just pure fun.

  • Criminal: 10 AMAZING CLOSE!

I HAVE BEEN SLAYED BY THIS ALBUM! I suck at explaining why I love songs, I JUST DO! Cannot wait until the 29th so I can buy a physical copy and the deluxe edition with EVEN MORE SONGS!

now...time to listen to it again!

EDIT: On my 2nd listen, seriously I wanna give them all 10's now. Dead, slayed, cremated, ashes flying through the winds given to us by Godney.

Our Godney, Who art in Hidden Hills, CA
Hallowed be Thy Name;
Thy Femme Fatale has come,
Thy has been done,
on earth as we are now in heaven.
Give us this day our trip to your heart,
and forgive us our criminals,
as we forgive those who hold it against us;
and lead us not into gasoline,
but deliver us til the world ends. Amen.

FEMME FATALITY 2011 aka BRITMAS!

IT IS TIME!

Slowly but surely, we are getting snippets of all of the songs off of Femme Fatale and now, we have ANOTHER FULL SONG! (Drop Dead) Beautiful is here and I dig it. Here you can find the snippets and megamixs of some of the snippets. I need "Inside Out" "I I I Wanna Go" and "Gasoline" to leak immediately; but who am I kidding, I NEED IT ALL TO LEAK!

ONTD is musing that the standard version of Femme Fatale will leak Monday, PRAISE GODNEY FOR SPRING BREAK AT THIS HOLIEST OF TIMES!

Now I will get back to listening to all of the Britney in my itunes (now including the megamixes and snippets) and await the leak and the release of Femme Fatale on 29 March
