My Foray into Men's Deodorant

Over Memorial Day weekend I spotted a new deodorant in Jacob's bathroom, which proclaimed that his armpits would smell of the alps. I later noticed whilst snuggling that he smelled quite lovely...not overly "manly" but fresh and pleasant. As I prepared to return home on Memorial Day I decided to steal a swipe of Old Spice Matterhorn for my own underarms.

I had forgotten about this brief encounter with the Matterhorn until I got ready for bed and noticed that my underarms smelled, still, exactly like Jacob's deodorant. I had driven 2.5 hours with the sun beating down on me, and I had put this on at noon, I got ready for bed nearly twelve hours later. I notice that with most woman's deodorant that the fruity/floral smells tend to mutate into something much less pleasant after a few hours in which I may sweat a little bit. I found that I was reapplying my deodorant multiple times a day, and I do not severely sweat or anything of that nature.

I returned to Iowa City this weekend and used Jacob's deodrant the entire time. I decided yesterday to buy it. Not only do I think of Jacob when I catch of whiff of my delightful underarms that apparently smell like Ice, Wind, and Freedom; I also enjoy 1-2 applications a day and no risk of mustiness later.
