Haulin'

These pictures kind of suck, attempts to brighten them were in vain but I'm too lazy to take pictures again, so yeah.

From Walgreens:

Rimmel Shock Gloss in "Am'ped" (Red Berry)

Now, this gloss is way strange. It has a spatula applicator meaning it is a piece of flat plastic that you use to apply this "Shock Gloss". I only paid $2 for this since it was on clearance and as long as you have a mirror it is okay, the applicator is just a little change of pace. The color is quite sheer and it smells delicious, which is the case with all Rimmel lip products.

Loreal Telescopic Explosion Mascara (dupe for Givency Phenomen' Eyes)

I am always on the hunt for my holy grail mascara, and after hearing that this was even better than the Givenchy mascara I had to run out and buy it. I like this mascara but I don't love it. I have to dab the wand on some kleenex to remove excess or else it clumps. Even sometimes when I roll it, it still leaves clumps but I've had some really lovely lash days with this stuff. The applicator is really great at getting all of your lashes. I'm not sure if I would re-purchase this just because I'm always wanting to try new things.

From MAC:

Lipstick in "Hue"

As of now, I am kind of kicking myself for getting this. I love the color and I know it will get a lot of use, but since it is January my lips are extremely dry and even if I load them up with Nivea before applying this, it just accentuates the dry-ness. "Hue" is a glaze so it is not extremely pigmented which is fine, but it seems to be a bit drying. Kind of wishing I'd gotten a cremesheen formula for winter instead.

Lipgloss in "Underage"

Love it. Gorgeous milky pink and looks great over every lipstick I've paired it with. Kind of can't wait until summer when I'm tanner, this will look lovely against bronzed skin.

Eyeshadows in "Paradisco" and "Amber Lights"

"Paradisco" is a pinky-coral with pearl and its finish is a frost. This picture does not do it justice. It is really pretty and I was excited for it because it is more orange in person, and orange goes great with blue eyes. Unfortunately it isn't as pigmented as I'd hoped, I swear they rig them in the store because my swatch looked gorgeous. All in all, it's a good all over lid color and I just have to take the time to build it up.

"Amber Lights" is also a frost and is a peachy-brown with shimmer and I love it! It is extremely pigmented and chock full of shimmer. I would say this is my second most pigmented MAC shadow right behind "Woodwinked", it really only takes one touch with a brush to do your whole lid. LOVES IT!

From Sephora:

Korres Wild Rose Foundation in "WRF1"

This was just a re-purchase for me. I have this in "WRF2" and now that I am pasty it is way too dark. I quite like this foundation. It is a medium-full coverage and is really blend-able. The best part is that it is natural and doesn't have nasty parabens and chemicals in it. Because it is Rose it smells like Rose, so I could see people having a reaction because it is very pungent when you apply it.

Benefit's "Bright Lights, Big City" Set

"That Gal" Brightening Face Primer

I'm liking this product a lot more than my Rimmel Fix and Perfect Primer. Firstly, this primer smells really nice, which I cannot say for Rimmel or Laura Gellar primers. Secondly, it really makes my foundation go on smoothly and I've noticed it staying put throughout the day. I'm actually thinking that I might re-purchase this.

Eye Bright Pencil

I LOVE THIS! I think this is an amazing product. I use it down the center of my nose, as a brow highlight, and around my eyes (like the inner corner) and it legitimately makes me look more alive. The pencil is a very light pink color, so it is much less obvious than white so I've also used it on my waterline as well. I am definitely going to re-purchase this when I run out.

Badgal Mascara in Blue

The whole idea of this "Bright Lights, Big City" set is to make your face brighter, hence the blue mascara. I've heard good things about Badgal mascara so I was excited to see this in the set. I've used it on the tips of my lashes like the directions (all of these Benefit products come with them) said and really didn't notice much. The directions say that the blue on the tips will widen and brighten, honestly it just made my tips look spidery. One of these days I will have to try this mascara alone and see how it fares, all blue should make them look really bright...right?

Urban Decay "Get Baked" Palette

This is really a lovely palette. I'm a sucker for neutrals and this palette came with a mini Urban Decay Primer Potion in "Sin" and a 24/7 Liner in "Bourbon" and was on clearance so I had to.

The colors from left to right are "Twice Baked" "Half Baked" "Flipside" and "Baked". My favorite is "Baked" because it is super pigmented, but of course it is really close to "Amber Lights" in color. "Half Baked" is a really nice light gold but is also close to MAC's "All That Glitters" which I own, but they have their differences.

The mini Primer Potion is really lovely and since it is a champagne color it can be worn by itself. I wore it underneath my shadow over the last few days and can see why everyone loves UDPP, it really makes your color last, not crease, and makes it more vivid. I will definitely be purchasing a full-size but probably in the non-colored version. The 24/7 liner is okay, I'm not loving the color, it is brown but with shimmer in it so yeah, I am no convert to Urban Decay liner.
