Summer? Where?!

So I'm finally done with finals...but where is summer?


This rainy, cloudy, and frankly cold weather has made this week even worse that I had imagined. Finals were pretty horrendous, especially because all of mine were packed into less than 24 hours. Yesterday afternoon I was oh so thrilled to be moving my stuff home...until I went out to feed the meter before my last final to discover I had a flat tire. TWO new tires later (oh another one of mine was almost kaput) and $140 later I am home, and I still have to clean up my dorm room back at school.


Honestly, this isn't going to be as bad as the end of this week and the weekend. I'm headed back for my girl Kelly's 21st birthday, but it is going to be beyond bittersweet. She isn't going to be back at Iowa next year, I know we will cry our eyes out after we get over our hangovers.


I come back Sunday, but not before saying goodbye to Jacob. Eek I don't even want to think about him being 3 hours away all summer. Doing my makeup Sunday will be futile because I will cry it all off.
Oh then I get to start work Monday collecting debt and doing online classes. Summer is going to be LLAAAAAAAAMMMMMMEEEEEEEE.

And the process begins...

My fierce father Doug E. Fresh came down today and I am now without a futon, fridge, microwave, food storage area, most of my food, and most of my clothes. I now find myself sitting in my relatively comfy computer chair with the immense urge to lie down on a couch like structure, but alas, I cannot.



The impending doom of finals is weighing heavily upon me, I have 2 papers due this Wednesday...ugh! While I only have 1 final on Mon. the 10th and 2 on Tues. the 11th, I have a 10 page paper due...on that Tuesday the 11th. Lucky for me, I appear to be somewhat ahead of my classmates on this daunting final paper. It is over all of the material we've covered in class in relation to the films "The Deer Hunter" and "Apocalypse Now", but we are not watching "Apocalypse Now" until this week's lectures.

HAHA SUCK IT because I own it and I watched "The Deer Hunter" yesterday. Even though I won't start this paper until my other 2 more imminent papers are due, I feel a sense of superiority. I shall revel in it until I realize the severity and length of this paper and make myself hunker down and write it.

Screaming Babies in Mozart Wigs and Teddy Graham People

Since I love Queen Gabby Sidibe, I tuned into SNL last weekend. While Gabby was a bit lackluster (she is most hilarious as herself) there was one skit that I have watched about 5 times since then. Stefon by Bill Hader is amazing, fierce, flawless, etc. and Hader even breaks character making this even more incredible. Let me know what you think!

And the excitement builds

I am beyond excited for the upcoming MAC "To the Beach" collection. Now, I was looking forward to the Liberty of London collection but when I saw the actual swatches I was less than impressed, packaging is not enough to get me. But, Mac "To the Beach" looks AMAZING! They are bringing back lustre drops

which I missed out on in last summer's collections and HELLO! look at that highlight powder in the promotional picture. The lipsticks, glosses, blushes, and bronzers will definitely be a maybe for me, but yeah, the saving begins NOW! According to Temptalia this collection is going to launch 22 May, but we all know that these collections show up online a bit earlier than that. CANNOT WAIT!
